As a Support Engineer in our Media Technology Service & Support business unit, you will support our customers remotely and in a leading role on site by performing commissioning and acceptance as well as regular maintenance of media technology equipment and complex network systems. In this way, you ensure the smooth operation of all relevant media and IT systems of our customers. The training of the first level support for the media technical systems at the customer's site is also part of your tasks. In addition, together with the Qvest service team, you will ensure professional support for our customers even beyond normal working hours.

Your Tasks

  • Commissioning and acceptance of media technology systems as well as complex network systems on site at our customers
  • Supporting our customers with service and support and providing regular maintenance, telephone support as well as service calls within the scope of service and support contracts
  • Provide first level support training for customer's media technology systems
  • Ensuring, together with the Qvest service team, professional support for our customers beyond normal working hours
  • If required, taking over on-call duties, individual response times and on-site assignments
  • Support of the 24/7-hotline
  • Advising customers with the initiation of a concept proposal

Your Profile

  • Completed technical studies or training in the field of computer science, electrical engineering, media design (IT specialist system integration or similar)
  • Knowledge of service and support of media technology systems
  • Sound know-how in the areas of server systems, network technology as well as video and audio technology
  • Product experience of current media control systems such as QSC, Wolfsvision, Crestron, AMX, Extron as well as interfaces of the peripheral devices to be controlled
  • Analytical thinking and structured, success-oriented approach to commissioning and malfunctions
  • Ability to work in a team, creativity and motivation
  • Convincing appearance and assertiveness
  • High willingness to travel
