Qvest Group's Bid & Commercial Management is responsible for the development of a commercial, technical and contractual service offer for all Qvest Hubs worldwide, from order to project completion. The main tasks are the management and coordination of the bidding phase and the management of commercial changes in ongoing projects. As the interface between internal stakeholders, the BCM team makes a significant contribution to the commercial success of the company.
As Principal, you will be responsible for leading and developing Bid & Commercial Management internationally. You will play a key role in securing new business opportunities.
Your Tasks
- Responsibility for the global Bid & Commercial Management of the Qvest Group
- Management and further development of the Bid & Commercial Management teams in cooperation with the existing team/area management within the group companies
- Targeted development of a network within the Qvest Group to define the relevant interfaces and strategic development of cross-company, cross-country and cross-divisional cooperation, processes and interfaces
- Definition, implementation and optimization of group-wide processes for tender and contract processes, from tender to project completion
- Developing strategic objectives to improve and standardize the entire bidding process across the Group, from initial enquiry to submission, in line with customer requirements and internal guidelines
- Liaise directly with the Qvest Group's Practice Leads, Technical Leads, Project Managers and Sales Leads to achieve the strategic objectives
- Support and advise Group companies on all matters relating to project bids, acting as an internal knowledge hub
- Developing and implementing strategies to minimize risk and maximize the chances of success
- Responsibility for pricing, taking into account costs, risks, margin requirements and contribution margins to maximize the profitability of proposals
- Responsible for managing commercial changes in the project context and developing strategies to adapt to changing requirements and conditions
- Ongoing evaluation and optimization of bidding processes with the team and implementation of best practice to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Responsible for reporting on bid activities, key performance indicators and market analysis to support management decision making and development of future strategies
Your Profile
- Several years' experience in senior bid management positions in an international environment
- Proven track record of maximizing winning opportunities and increasing profitability
- Extensive experience in strategic bid development and commercial bid design
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong technical affinity coupled with in-depth knowledge and experience of managing international bid and tender processes
- In-depth knowledge of procurement and tendering processes in the B2G and B2B environment and knowledge of EU procurement law and the procurement law of other Qvest sales regions
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire, build and lead teams and develop trusted relationships and networks
- Negotiation skills, organizational skills and entrepreneurial flair
- Proven experience of using Microsoft Office and ERP systems to manage tender processes and resources efficiently
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Fluent in German and English
