Become part of our Cloud Operations team and work on our cloud-based system solutions for international media, broadcast and telco customers. As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for the setup and high-quality operation of our cloud solutions. This includes the installation, administration and support of servers, networks and applications in the cloud. You are responsible for the efficient monitoring and continuous optimization of our cloud ecosystem and take care of the provision and support of our cloud operations services.

Your Tasks

  • Management of our cloud and virtualized environments
  • Installation, administration and support of servers, networks and applications in the cloud
  • Efficient monitoring and continuous optimization of our cloud ecosystem
  • Provision, operation and maintenance of our cloud customer solutions
  • Design and development of our cloud system architectures and their SLA-based 24/7 operation

Your Profile

  • Successfully completed vocational training and/or studies in the field of computer science, engineering or comparable, preferably with a focus on media technology/computer science or online media/new media; career changers with relevant and many years of practical experience
  • Experience in the provision, management and SLA-based operation of solutions in public cloud environments such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and the virtualisation platform VMware vSphere
  • Extensive and practical experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and Helm
  • Experienced with Linux, shell and bash scripting, Python
  • Experience with "infrastructure as code" (e.g. Terraform, Cloudformation, Pulumi)
  • Confident in dealing with state-of-the-art web technologies and their deployment
  • Knowledge of log aggregation solutions and systems for determining and analysing metrics (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, Kibana)
  • Experience in dealing with network and routing technologies (load balancing with DNS, load balancing with TLS termination)
  • Development experience with Git version management
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently and analytically
  • Very good knowledge of English
