(Senior) Project Controller (m/f/d)

As a (Senior) Project Controller, you will play a key role in the financial management and control of our projects. You will analyze key figures, budgets and project developments, providing transparent insights to support well-informed business decisions. Working closely with Project Management, the PMO and other stakeholders, you will identify deviations at an early stage and contribute to the successful and profitable delivery of our projects. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to actively shape and further develop our controlling processes and systems.

Your Tasks

  • Prepare, analyze and present monthly project reports and ensure comprehensive financial control of projects
  • Conduct and coordinate project evaluations and financial project reviews
  • Perform multi-project controlling across several projects and business units
  • Analyze plan-versus-actual deviations and monitor budgets, forecasts, backlog and project costs
  • Monitor resource allocation and utilization rates, including the preparation and distribution of related reports
  • Manage and monitor project billing, payment milestones and intercompany transactions
  • Provide operational support and work closely with Project Management and the PMO
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and evaluations for senior management and other stakeholders
  • Support project administration and maintain relevant systems, including time tracking and project data
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of controlling processes and systems and act as a business partner for project-related financial and commercial matters

Your Profile

  • Successfully completed university degree in Business Administration, Economics or a comparable field, with a relevant specialization
  • Several years of professional experience in project controlling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a structured and solution-oriented approach
  • Strong understanding of complex projects, a high affinity for numbers and the ability to present reports in a clear and transparent manner
  • High degree of independence, initiative and ownership
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization, with confidence in an international environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks independently and maintain attention to detail, even during periods of high workload
  • Very good MS Office skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
