  • Qvest Stream

As a DevOps Engineer at Qvest Stream GmbH, you will shape how our broadcast software products Makalu and ClipBox are built, deployed and operated – the solutions used by broadcasters, media houses and broadcast service providers around the world to run their daily workflows. Together with our development teams, you will take on the challenges of highly complex, hybrid infrastructures: you operate our containerized systems across cloud and on-premises environments, automate the path from code to production and ensure stable, scalable and observable systems. As a solution-oriented enabler, you keep track of deployments, security and performance and actively contribute your ideas to architecture and standards decisions. A modern, open working environment with flat hierarchies, quick decision-making and attractive benefits will ensure that you feel at home here from the very beginning.

Your Tasks

  • You operate and scale our Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-premises environments and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly
  • You automate our CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows, shortening the path from code to production
  • You consistently manage our infrastructure as code (infrastructure-as-code)
  • You make our systems observable and stable, with end-to-end monitoring and alerting
  • You design and implement customer-specific infrastructures for international broadcast and media projects
  • You support our development teams with deployments, troubleshooting and infrastructure questions
  • You actively contribute to architecture, security and standards decisions

Your Profile

  • Completed degree in (business) informatics, computer science or a related field – or an IT apprenticeship (e.g. IT specialist for system integration, IT systems electronics technician)
  • 2–4 years of professional experience in DevOps, infrastructure or cloud
  • Solid hands-on practice with Kubernetes in production
  • Routine in CI/CD processes, ideally with GitLab CI
  • Confident handling of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm, Ansible)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Hetzner) and on-premises virtualization (Proxmox)
  • Familiarity with monitoring/observability stacks (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus)
  • Solid scripting knowledge (e.g. Bash, PowerShell)
  • Experience with ArgoCD or other GitOps tools is an advantage
  • Knowledge of security topics (e.g. secrets management, hardening, access concepts) is an advantage
  • Understanding of media technologies (e.g. video streaming, real-time services) is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of working in a team
  • German at native level and business-fluent English, both written and spoken
