Our Bid & Commercial Managers are responsible for the national and international support of the Account Management as well as the preparation of commercial and technical offers for all Qvest Practices / Qvest Service areas and take care of the contract management in the order processing. In your role as Bid & Commercial Manager, you are the project manager for the complete bid preparation in close cooperation with the complete bidding team and will play a pivotal role in securing new business opportunities. You are responsible for coordinating all necessary contributions (within the Qvest Group or from suppliers) for national and international bids. The special focus is on compliance with quality, time and budget requirements, including the commercial preparation of the offers. You work in close coordination with the colleagues in your team as well as across teams.
Your Tasks
- Lead the bid process from initiation to submission, ensuring compliance with client requirements and internal guidelines
- Identify potential risks associated with bids and contracts and develop strategies to mitigate them & to maximize the chance of success
- Colloborate with various teams to gather necessary information for bid responses incl. cost & risk elements from the relevant stakeholders incl. our partners/vendors
- Price calculation taking into account costs, risks, margin requirements, contribution margins
- Organisation of the final review - commercial, technical, strategic (costs, risks, margin, price)
- Foster strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the bid and project process
- Manages commercial changes in the project context and the strategic approach of the project - changes to scope, value, contracts
- Work closely with the legal team to review and assess contractual obligations and liabilities
- Ensuring knowledge transfer from the bid to the project phase incl. cost & risk elements
- Continuous process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Generate reports and provide regular updates on bid activities to relevant stakeholders
Your Profile
- Completed commercial or technical studies (Bachelor's/Master's/Diploma) or comparable professional training
- Affinity for technical topics
- Experience in bid / proposal management
- Knowledge of purchasing and tendering processes in B2G and B2B environments as well as knowledge of EU public procurement law
- You combine an organised, structured and independent way of working with the ability to drive bid processes forward
- Negotiation skills, organisational skills and entrepreneurial flair
- Very good social skills with the capability to inspire and build trusted relationships, both, internally and external
- Confident use of Microsoft Office, experience in working with enterprise resource planning systems
- Fluent in written and spoken English and German
