As a (Senior) Broadcast Service Technician in our Service & Support business unit, you will support our customers directly on site or remotely and thus ensure the smooth business operation of all relevant media, broadcast and IT systems. You are characterized by a very independent and self-reliant way of working and a differentiated problem-solving competence. You have been able to apply and deepen your knowledge of a wide range of products from various manufacturers in the broadcast and/or IT sector in complex production environments. Your Tasks

  • System- and technical support of national and international system installations of our customers from the TV and media sector 
  • Night shifts possible 
  • Support of the 24/7 hotline (on-call duty) 
  • Monitoring, analyzing and improving systems and workflows 
  • Analyzing errors, evaluating logs and fixing problems in complex production systems
  • Installation, integration, commissioning and maintenance of AV and IT systems 
  • On-site service, remote service, telephone and e-mail support, professional service, patch/update/upgrade service (system development)

Your Profile

  • Degree or professional training in the field of computer science, media informatics / network and communications technology, or IT specialist or comparable, preferably with a focus on technical production or online media/new media. Career changer with relevant and long-term practical experience are also welcome 
  • Good English and German language skills, both written and spoken 
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of post-production, asset management and newsroom workflows  
  • Knowledge of broadcast AV and modern IP ST-2110 technologies, KVM, playout automation and streaming/transcoding is helpful 
  • Good knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server and Workstation, Linux, Mac), network, storage and database technology. Experience with Virtualization (e.g. VM Ware) is a plus 
  • Understanding of modern broadcast IT concepts and the necessary interfaces 
  • Professional experience, ideally in technical service and support
